We will be shipping dresses and shorts in less than two weeks. Here’s a sampling of what’s heading to Haiti this time. A couple of these dresses represent youth getting involved. One was made by Mikayla Rietgraf and one was cut out by Mrs. Johnson’s third-grade class. I hope to get more young people involved the next time around. It’s a blast to see the dresses stacking up in my basement. And it’s especially fun to see my mom finally getting to sew dresses instead of super-hero costumes!
I met Felicia Alvarez from floatingleafpress.com at the Write-to-Publish conference in Chicago this summer. She asked me to do a guest post about 500 Dresses, and it posted last week. Click the link if you want to check it out. And be sure to take a look at her other stuff too. Her work is worth reading.
