funds for our Haiti trip
I have so much to be thankful for. God has blessed me far far beyond what I deserve. And when I think of what he has allowed my mom and I to do through this ministry, I am in awe.
I have met so many giving people, spent time sitting at treadle sewing machines with beautiful Haitian women, met the little boys we sponsor through Mission to Haiti, made a new friend in Mission to Haiti’s Esther Guinta, taken part in my mom’s passion for sewing (though I will never love it like she does or be as good a seamstress), cut out dresses with elementary school students, watched my husband fix sewing machines and sew dresses, written about Haiti and this dress ministry for two magazines, been a guest on Encouragement Cafe radio. . . unbelievable.
When I am unable to see contributors in person to thank them, I try to write thank-you cards, but I know a few of you have fallen through the cracks. Know that my mom and I are thankful. Each time I receive a donation or check in the mail from someone (especially someone I don’t even know), the tears well up because I am amazed that God is allowing me to serve him in this way. And he is continually showing me that he goes before me. And there is nothing better than resting in the assurance that God goes before you.
I speak for my mom and myself when I say thank you so very very much.
